Tamara Gray was born in Lansdale, Pennsylvania but grew up in Perkiomenville, PA, a small town in the beautiful woodsy countryside. Tamara comes from a huge family with 14 uncles and aunts to keep her in line throughout her life. Her immediate family was one of seven, including three brothers and one sister. The middle kid of five she learned diplomacy in its rawest form. Often the liaison between feuding siblings she used this talent to make a peaceful environment when all is crazy around her. Her refuge as a child was reading anything from comics to the Bible. Her father was a minister and money was always tight forcing Tamara to use her imagination and read. Her love of reading was formed at a very young age.

Tamara spent her Saturday afternoons watching old vampire flicks and any werewolf movie she could get her hands on. When Tamara was 15, she discovered the movie The Howling. This werewolf horror picture scared her to death. Born was a fascination and fear of werewolves. While friends played with dolls and makeup, Tamara would read and watch anything horror.

A tomboy, playing sports all through high school and college Tamara definitely admired a tough heroine. She would dream of fighting dark creatures and saving the world. Now she has a chance to live that dream through her books.

Tamara says that it was her sister-in-law, Debra Parsons, who was responsible for her interests in romance books with paranormal influences. Debra gave Tamara her first glimpse of vampire romance and she was hooked. Her addiction had her reading a book a day and when she ran out of books to read she convinced herself to write one herself, so she would have something to read.

Tamara has a degree in both social studies and secondary education. After school, she moved back to her home state of Pennsylvania and has been enjoying life ever since.
