Saved by the Assassin

The only man that can save her is the one they sent to kill her.

Alecia Alexander, fresh out of college, moves to Laredo, Texas – as far away from the family farm as she can possibly get without leaving the country. There, she expects life to be glamorous and fun but ends up working a mundane accounting job and spending her weekends with Netflix and a cat who wants her dead.

Her one saving grace is her seemingly super-human ability to manipulate numbers, drawing the attention of one of her firm’s biggest customers, the Zapista Corporation. She believes she’s doing the books for a mundane little trucking company, but in reality the Zapistas are a dangerous Mexican drug cartel. Worse, the Zapistas are at war with a blood thirsty opposing cartel, the Thirteens.

With her vast knowledge of the Zapista operation Alecia is a target, a target the Thirteens will stop at nothing to take.

Her only hope for survival is Diaz, an assassin sent by the Zapistas to save her. There are two problems. One, his mission, should the Thirteens near her, is to kill her. Two, she’s quickly falling for the assassin.
