What book formats can i buy from your site?

Any time you purchase from us, you will receive an email containing a link to your books. Each link gives you the chance to download a Zip file containing the RTF, HTML, MOBI, EPUB and PDF formats of the book you purchased. This zip file is set to automatically open on any PC and most other reading devices. If you have trouble using the zip file, please contact customer service and let us know and we will be happy to help.

I have used up all three attempts to download my book. What do I do now?

My kindle won't convert the E-Pub! What Now?

If you're having problems with your Kindle not accepting the EPUB version of one of our books, please go to the following site and follow their download directions and it should fix the problem:

I downloaded the zip file, but how do i unzip it on my Ipad?

In order to unzip files using an Ipad, you will have to download an app to unzip the files. "Stuffit Expander" is the one installed on Mac Computers but there are others such as "iUnArchive Lite" with high reviews. Both of these are free to download and use. You can also search in the app store for 'zip files,' 'archived files,' or 'open zip files' and find many reliable results.

Do you have books on disc?

We no longer have books on disc.

I wanted to purchase a title in print, but i can't find it on your site?

Our books now go to print when they are released. This was not always the case, and there are many books that are currently out of print. If these authors elect to continue publishing with us, their books may come out in print again in the future. If the book in question is a new book, it may have been too short to come out in print. If a book is less than 40K it will only come out in print as part of an anthology. You can email us if you would like a book in print that is not currently available in print and we can check on it for you.

Can you help me with my kindle? I can't seem to get the files I bought to work!

Kindle makes it easy to take your personal documents with you. Each Kindle has a unique and customizable e-mail address you can set on your Manage Your Kindle page. You can send unprotected Microsoft Word, PDF, HTML, TXT, RTF, JPEG, GIF, PNG, BMP, PRC and MOBI files to your Kindle e-mail address.

To access your personal documents on your Kindle, send attachments to your Kindles e-mail address ("name" The files will be sent to your Kindle via the Wi-Fi connection and also to the e-mail address associated with your account at no charge. You can use the "name" address for wireless delivery via the 3G network, or "name" for free delivery via Wi-Fi only, or to the e-mail address associated with your account.

To have your PDF documents converted to Kindle format so you can take advantage of functionality such as variable font size, annotation, Text-to-Speech, etc., type "Convert" in the subject of the e-mail when you submit your personal document to "name" Image-heavy PDF files are presented in landscape orientation and don't work with devices that have auto-rotation, so those will be delivered in the Kindle format.

You can also transfer personal documents to your Kindle at no charge using your USB connection.

What is the compatibility of your formats?

RTF can be read by Microsoft word.

HTML can be read by any web browser.

PDF is read by Adobe Acrobat 3.0 or higher.

EPUB is the new industry standard. If you bought your device in the last four years, it should be compatible with EPUB on some level.

If you can't find an answer to your problem on our site through the FAQ search, you may have to go directly to the device manufacturer.


Book Information:

What kind of word count/book length can I expect?

Epic Novel = 100,000 words and up

Full Novel = 80,000-100,000 words

Mid Novel = 60,000-80,000 words

Long Category = 50,000-60,000

Category = 40,000-50,000 words

Longer Novella = 30,000-40,000 words

Novella = 15,000-30,000 words

Short Story = Under 15,000 words

What does it mean when a title has been reissued?

A title will say one of the following if it has been reissued.........

“This title is a reissue"

“This title is a reissue of _______”

“This title is a reissue that has been revised and expanded”

In some cases the book has been lightly re-edited to correct errors and in others major changes--lengthened or changed significantly in other ways. 

Sometimes it's being released under a different title or name.  But these marked as reissues have been published previously.

1. Reader Registration and log in located on the blog page. This is mainly for blog use.

2. Main log in and registration on the bookstore page. This is used to access your bookshelf.

I Can't log in with my older account info. What Gives?

This is a whole new system, so the log in you had for old old discussion forums won't work here. The log in you have for our storefront also won't work on the forums. This is because while the forum is on a secured site, we don't want to risk anyone's credit card account so we chose to keep the sites separate.

I liked my old log in. Can i still use it here?

Chances are, your old log in is still available. All you have to do is claim it before someone else can!

Do I have to register to chat on the Forums?

No. While there are benefits to registration, it isn't mandatory to register to use the forums. Registration is, however, required for purchasing from our storefront.


Logging out:

How do I log out of the NCP Store?

Our system is set up in such a way that you have to log in to make a payment, every time. This is for your protection. Even if you're logged into your general account and you get up and leave your system for thirty minutes while you run to the store, no one will be able to make a purchase through your account while you're gone because they will need to log in again to place the order. (If you're one click away from making your purchase, we can't guarantee anything.)

That said, you don't have to click a button to log out. You can log out at any time simply by closing the web page in your browser. While cookies are necessary for using our shopping cart, our system uses very few cookies, and they don't stay active on your system after you've completed shopping with us.


Receiving emails from NCP:

I wrote over and over again. Why Haven't you responded?

We always reply to our customers. The replys we send, on the other hand, don't always go through. The culprit? Most likely, you signed up for our newsletter, decided you wanted to opt out, and blocked the newsletter for good measure just to make sure. We've all done that (I do it every time myself) but the problem with that is that it makes us unable to contact you for any reason. If you've emailed us and didn't get any response at all, please look to make sure we aren't on your block list!

I wrote and asked to have a file sent, but I didn't get the file in the reply.

 There's a chance that the person that responded forgot to attach the file, we're only human, but if you've received more than one reply and the file isn't attached, your email provider doesn't consider us a safe sender and is blocking the files. This doesn't mean they've detected anything dangerous, just that they think we might be sending you spam. Make sure you add us to your address book. If you still have an issue, you will need to contact your email provider to have it solved.

I wrote you seven times on Saturday. Why didn't I get a response until Monday?

 The long and the short of it-we don't open on Saturday. There are times when an employee will do some work on Saturday or Sunday, but those aren't our regular office hours and there is rarely anyone handling customer support on those days.

What are your Office Hours?

 Our customer service office hours are 8AM-1PM Monday through Friday. We don't open the office on Saturday or Sunday. If you have an issue on one of these days, we will help you as soon as we can, but please be aware that it will not be until the following business day. Please allow up to 48 hours for a response.


Why Can't I Order:

I've been trying to place an order, but nothing goes in to the shopping cart.
